Merry Christmas Ava!

Hi Ava!
I'm so sorry I haven't written in a while, my glasses have been misbehaving, (mom is going to fix them, they were scratching my face! Could you believe it!!)
So I couldn't see very well, but mom has gotten me some kind of lenses to put in my eyes until my glasses are fixed, so I wanted to write back!
I love your Christmas decorations! We have lots of different ones here! This year we put up mostly hand made ornaments, (Megan's aunt is a master knitter!)
Did you know that here in the Attic we celebrate Hanukkah and Christmas?! Megan's mom was raised in a Jewish family, and her dad was raised in a Catholic family... I'm not sure what that means but I know it means we get to eat lots of yummy food and sing lots of different songs!
Anyway, Ava, GUESS WHAT! Mimi wrote a bunch of letters to Santa, and LOOK!
I got my very own Lalaloopsy!! It was a "sisters" pack, and I gave the tiny little lala to Mimi, it was so nice of her to write to Santa, and I thought she would like it!

Now... about holidays together... I don't remember much, I remember you and I used to stay up late in our bed and whisper about what we thought Santa would bring us. But I don't really remember too much else... I wonder why!

I'm so very glad you have someone as great as Tabitha for a mommy, I'm sure you and your sisters and cousins had a wonderful Christmas!

I'll try to write you again soon!

Happy Christmas Bailey

Hey Bailey, are you waiting for Christmas too. I am sorry I did not post sooner but we moved to a new house and it been so hectic I missed me last post.

I went out and found some Holly the other week, I was knee high in leaves and it was getting very cold, and I borrowed my sister Harpers rucksack. I have asked Santa for one of my own.

Then I was wondering if you ever remember Christmas when we were together, before we got split and I lost me voice? I don't remember much except the sad empty as we were sent in separate boxes, everything before that sad bit I forgot until I saw your face on here, then I remember, those cute pigtails and knew that was my Bailey twinnie.

I been decorating a tree here and I like this Christmas time, the ornaments on the tree are nice and fairylights look like magic, but it is so, so cold. All this month we all made a smile box to take to the resin orphanage for the resin kids that don't get homes this Christmas because my mum says we ain't no cheap toy, we are special and not everyone can afford to have one. I feel very lucky to have home this Christmas, and family and have found you.

I love you Bailey, message me soon and have the best Christmas, love your twin Ava-Grace

Hi Ava!

Ava!
It's been a really long time! Mom has been really overwhelmed, her grandpa hasn't been feeling well, so we've been taking care of her. But she has been feeling a lot better lately. I guess all our cheering up finally worked!
I've been trying to be patient and wait my turn on the computer so I could write you, I wanted to show you our la-la-loopsie, we only have one so we have to share it. But that's ok, she's really cute!
Oh!! And I just *had* to show you my glasses. What do you think of them?
I think it makes me look super sophisticated, mom says I can keep them all for myself! Can you believe it!?
Does your la-la have a name? We call our la-la Polly. I'm not sure who named her, but when I came to live her that's the name they told me. Maybe one day I can get my own la-la, I know mom is taking me on a little trip for something called Thanksgiving, she said that you probably don't celebrate it. But we evidently get to eat lots of turkey and stuffing, so I'm excited! But anyway, there's some big sale after Thanksgiving, and she said we may be able to pick up a few toys!

I'll let you know if we get anything fun!
Lots of Love
Bailey

Ava-Grace Catching up !

I am sorry I took so long to get back, but it been a very busy week. I saw you in your new wig Bailey and you look just perfect, even more like my twin. I do like to look on the puter every day to see what has been happening. My heart goes all skippy  when I see you because it remind me of good reason to be brave and keep talking.

Well I got two nice things through the post this week. This Lala I want to show you see, I been wanting her for ever,  'Pillow Featherbed Lalaloopsy', she is hard to get here in England. I is so pleased, but my sister her Lottie she like Lala a lot too, so I told her she can hold her whenever she likes.

Then Me and Ruby got another package of trousers. Mine is Pink of course. Ruby not like Pink, she is tomboy, she got black ones. The look like this, very trendy trousers. Lottie likes to dress up a lot and sometimes we play like we are having fashion show. This is me in my new Pink trousers, and with my other Lala too.

Well that is a lot of words from me, but I had not forgot you, it had just been real busy. I can't wait to hear back soon  and I hope you are having good times.
                                                         Love Me, Ava-Grace x

New Wig!

Hi Ava!!
I'm so excited that we are doing this blog together! I think that it'll be so much fun! And will make it seem like we're not so far away! Plus I can't wait to hear all about England and how you've grown up there!!
My mom had thought that the blue wig I was wearing in my introduction photo was a little big on me (It was, I kept tripping on it!!) but she didn't really have many wigs she liked in my size. That's when I noticed this pretty colored wig sitting in the bottom of the clothes box.
"What about this one?!" I asked mom pulling it out. She told me she didn't really like how poofy it made your head look
"Can I try it on anyway?" I begged, the color was so nice. She agreed... but she was right, my head DID look extra huge!! Hmmmm mom said I think I have an idea!!
She ran down the stairs leaving me to fiddle with the wig in the mirror... it was so soft, I hoped she had a really good plan!
Come sit down Bailey and try not to move too much, mom told me. I sat and tried not to wiggle, but all these little hairs kept tickling my nose!! It's hard to be patient some times!
But about 15 minutes later mom turned me around so I could look in the mirror:
Well, she asked, what do you think?!
"Hmmm" I thought "Mom?"
Yes she said
"I think this is the best wig I've ever seen!"

So that's the story of how I got my hair!! Also isn't my shirt cute, mom said she's been saving it for the right little girl! She promised to make me a pretty skirt to wear with it!

Can't wait to hear what you are up to! Also make sure you give your mum an EXTRA big hug from me and my mom, I know it's been a rough week for you!
Lots of Love
Bailey

Meeting Ava-Grace

So this is me Ava-Grace when I first came to live here in the Summer. I was a lot lost back then. I was an elective mute, that means I did not speak. I lost my voice box when I was little, I lost myself too, separated from my mum and twin. I did not know who I was. Then I was flown from the States to England to live with a resin family whose mummy knew how to look after scared kids like me.

My sisters there were very good to me and looked after me, but still I could not speak. Then one day my sister Ruby had an idea and she took me to her special place the swing and she really helped me not to be so afraid. That was the day I found my voice a bit, but it still only a whisper.

Then the new amazing thing happened when my mummy became friends with another mummy in the states and they both discovered  they each had one of us twins. Oh happy day for me. I was able to see her through the computer and she is oh so pretty. I waved to my sister Bailey and she waved back and my heart felt like it was mending.

When my mummy told me we could write to each other on this special blog from across the pond. I was made up.

''What me Ava-Grace?'' I asked.

Yes it was me and here I am now typing, and this is just too exciting for me to believe. But at
last I have found Bailey and I can tell her all my stories and hear hers too, and now I know my heart will heal x.

Introductions!

Hi everyone,
My name is Bailey.
My mom Megan has been a blogger for a long time, she's doing a photo a day blog! (http://365intheattic.blogspot.com/)
She's had lots of other tinies, and when one of them left for a new home, Megan became very good friends with the girl who had gotten her.
Now, Ava-Grace and I have found each other again because of our mom's friendship and we're pretty excited about it! You see we were separated when we were babies, I don't really remember much about her then, but there is NO doubt that she is my twin sister. The only problem, I live with my mom in the United States, and Ava lives with her mom Tabi in the United Kingdom... It doesn't look so far on a map, but mom says we'd have to ride a plane for many hours to get there!
Ava and I thought it would be a great idea to write to each other, and our mom's agreed. My mom suggested we write each other here on blogger so that everyone can read about our adventures!

It's pretty amazing finding out that you have a sister in another part of the world, especially when she has the same face as you do! I can't wait to hear all about her adventures, and to share mine!!
